Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 2026
Lumora Power & Engineering Co. Limited ("Lumora Power", "we", "us") respects your privacy. This policy explains what information we collect through lumorapower.com, why we collect it, and how it is handled.
1. Information We Collect
We collect information you provide directly to us, including:
- Contact and quote enquiries — name, email, phone, organisation, and project details submitted through our Contact and Quote forms.
- Job applications — name, email, phone, cover notes, and your CV/résumé, submitted through our Careers page.
- Portal accounts — if you create an account, we store your name, email, phone, organisation, location, and any profile details you choose to add, so you can track your requests and keep your talent profile up to date.
We do not knowingly collect sensitive personal data beyond what you voluntarily submit in these forms.
2. How We Use Your Information
- To respond to enquiries and prepare quotations.
- To review job applications and contact candidates about opportunities.
- To operate your portal account, including saving your details and showing your request history.
- To improve our services and website.
We do not sell your personal information to third parties.
3. Where Your Information Is Stored
Form submissions are processed through Netlify's form-handling service. Portal accounts, saved profiles, and uploaded CVs are stored using Supabase, a database and authentication provider. Both providers apply industry-standard security measures; access to your portal data is restricted to your own account through row-level security.
4. Cookies
Our website uses minimal, functional cookies required to keep you signed in to your portal account. We do not use third-party advertising or tracking cookies.
5. Data Retention
We retain enquiry, quote, and application data for as long as reasonably necessary to respond to your request, consider you for opportunities, or comply with legal obligations. You may request deletion at any time (see Section 6).
6. Your Rights
Under Uganda's Data Protection and Privacy Act, 2019, you have the right to access, correct, or request deletion of your personal data held by us. To exercise these rights, contact us using the details below.
7. Children's Privacy
Our services are intended for individuals and organisations seeking engineering and consultancy services or employment opportunities, and are not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect information from minors.
8. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The "last updated" date above will reflect the most recent revision.
9. Contact Us
If you have questions about this policy or wish to exercise your data rights, contact us at lumorapowerengineering@gmail.com or +256 783 616 351.
