Powering Progress. Engineering Excellence.
Electrical engineering, renewable energy systems, and expert energy consultancy - delivered with precision across Uganda and East Africa.
Who We Are
Lumora Power & Engineering Co. Limited is a Ugandan-owned electrical engineering and renewable energy company, duly incorporated under the Companies Act No. 1 of 2012 on 21st May 2026. The company was established to respond to a clear and growing need across Uganda and the wider East African region: reliable electrical infrastructure, efficient power distribution, and accessible, sustainable energy.
From our base in Kampala, we design, supply, install and maintain electrical and renewable energy systems for industrial, commercial, residential, institutional and government clients. Our work spans the full energy value chain, from electrical wiring and power distribution to solar photovoltaic systems, street lighting, smart metering and automation, and energy consultancy.
The idea behind Lumora grew out of years of fieldwork on electrical installations, grid maintenance and renewable energy projects across Uganda. Our founders recognised that many communities, businesses and institutions were underserved by reliable electrical infrastructure, and that the rapid growth of solar and renewable technologies presented an opportunity to close that gap responsibly and professionally. Lumora Power & Engineering Co. Limited was registered in May 2026 to formalise this work under a single, accountable corporate entity capable of delivering projects of any scale, from a single residential installation to multi-site rural electrification programmes.
We combine certified technical competence with genuine local knowledge of Uganda's energy sector, regulatory landscape, and the practical realities of working in both urban and rural settings. Every project we undertake is guided by three commitments: technical excellence, uncompromising safety standards, and meaningful, lasting value for our clients and the communities we serve.
